Mundell Music Presents
The Davey Pattison Band

Events
Davey Pattison has returned to his homeland after 40 years of performing at the
top-level Stateside and on World tours as the vocal powerhouse fronting Gamma,
Ronnie Montrose, The Robin Trower Band and recording two highly successful
albums with German guitar ace Michael Schenker.
Davey served his apprenticeship in Blues, R&B and Soul in Glasgow’s sixties dance-
hall scene and treaded the same boards as future members of Average White
Band, Stone the Crows, The Sensational Alex Harvey Band and others in renowned
venues like Picasso, Electric Gardens and Maryland. He was at the forefront of the
burgeoning Pub – Rock scene with the highly respected Findo Gask who narrowly
missed the big time after being spotted and recorded by Gerry Rafferty’s
producer, the late Hugh Murphy.
Davey’s big break arrived when the legendary Bill Graham was tipped off by Bill
Lordan and the late James Dewar that Davey was the ideal man to front the new
band Gamma for his client Ronnie Montrose. Davey accepted Graham’s invite
Stateside and wasted no time getting down to co-writing songs with Ronnie as the
band prepared for the recording of their debut album which spawned the hits
“Thunder and Lightning” and “Razor King.” Successful stadium and arena tours
followed paired alongside AC/DC, Santana, ZZ Top, Journey, Toto, Foreigner among
others.
The Detroit News reported Ronnie saying, “I’d given up all hope of finding a
quality singer for Gamma until I heard Davey Pattison.”
The Davey Pattison Band
The Davey Pattison Blues Band are Davey Pattison (vocals), Jim Keilt(guitar), Alan
McAuley (Bass), Mikey Grant (Keyboards) and James (Papa Siz) Nevans (Drums)
Jim Keilt has played guitar with chart toppers Middle of the Road and The Look
and replaced Wild Willie Barratt with madcap punk folker John Otway, touring and
recording extensively throughout the UK and Europe. He spent many years doing
session work and played guitar in the first stage production of Tommy at the
Queens Theatre. He currently hosts the longest running Blues Jam in Europe at
the State Bar in Glasgow.
Alan McAuley has many years experience playing bass, gigging the length and
breadth of the UK with Eric Cuthbertson’s Hoochie Coochies performing at the
best blues gigs and festivals. He is a solid, feel player with a)tude and has been a
member of and depped for many bands covering a diverse range of styles.
James (Papa Siz) Nevans has spent years laying grooves for some of the best
bands and musicians in his native North Lanarkshire. He’s equally at home in his
choice of laying back on or pushing the beat to support the requirements of the
song in a musical and rhythmical way. He’s metronomically sound and a driving
force in the band.
Mikey Grant is King of the keys providing some rockin’ barrelhouse blues piano as
well as Hammond Organ and Fender Rhodes stylings. He also provides a sound
canvas of atmospheric vibes for Davey’s original songs and some others when
they’re calling out for it. He is also a bit of a wiz arranging string parts/orchestral
samples.
Euan Maxwell is a veteran of the Scottish Blues/Rock scene playing guitar with
many bands including the legendary Mistreated. He currently handles most of the
slide work with the band.
